Small Business Development Center

The Michigan Small Business Development Center™ (MI-SBDC™) network provides a full range of services for a variety of small businesses that are emerging and growing throughout Michigan – including new venture companies, existing small businesses, expanding businesses, new technology companies, and innovators.

Funded in part by a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration, the SBDC has 11 regional offices and more than 20 satellite offices to provide entrepreneurs and business owners with convenient access to consulting and training throughout Michigan. The MI-SBDC at Schoolcraft College provides support to Western Wayne and Southwest Oakland counties and is a member of the Southeast Michigan Region, which also has offices in Detroit, Oakland County, and Macomb County.

The MI-SBDC network is a grassroots advocate for small business working in partnership with local resources to grow and strengthen companies.  New ventures, in particular, may be unfamiliar with funding sources and support services. The MI-SBDC works throughout the state to locate opportunities and build relationships with organizations that provide the extra assistance needed to make a real difference for entrepreneurs.
