Interviewing Skills

Even with the most stellar résumé, you still need to wow your potential employer with the perfect interview. For some, that may not come naturally. That’s why we offer the opportunity to meet one-on-one with our career counselors to practice your interviewing skills and receive feedback.

We also offer the Perfect Interview software, an interactive tool designed to create a realistic practice interview session. If you receive feedback from your one-on-one session with areas to improve, this tool will help you make the necessary adjustments and come back with a stellar performance.

The Career Services Office also offers job interviewing workshops throughout the Fall & Winter semesters. For a complete list of upcoming workshops, please contact the Career Services Office at careerservices@schoolcraft.edu.

Career Exploration and Job Information

While you may have an idea about what you want to do in your career once you leave Schoolcraft, you may need help navigating the path to get there. Career Coach is an excellent resource to take assessments and find information regarding careers, educational options, financial aid and employment.

The Career Services Office also has resources to help with résumés, cover letters, interviewing and other career-related issues. Employment and Career Workshops are also a critical tool for vocational development. Career and job search workshops are held throughout the year both in the classroom and during special events. Workshops are publicized on social media, throughout campus, and in the College Central Network job board calendar of events.
