Refresher for Carrying Concealed Pistols

Course Description

This class is for the person who has a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) and wants to update their knowledge and shooting skills. Learn from a MCOLES certified instructor about legal updates including the laws governing use of a Taser which is now permissible to those who have a valid CPL permit. A review of pistol safety and 2.5 hours on the firing range are included. The student must have a reliable, unloaded handgun (personal or rented from Schoolcraft College at additional cost) of a caliber of .22 auto or above, but not larger than a .45 caliber. All weapons will be inspected in the classroom. Bring 100 rounds of ammunition or purchase from Schoolcraft College at additional cost. Bring ear and shatter resistant eye protection or rent from Schoolcraft College at an additional cost. Targets are included in the cost of the class. All students must sign a waiver. Appropriate attire is required: long sleeve shirt, full-length pants, baseball-style cap, closed-toe shoes. Students must be 21 years of age or older and show their current Concealed Pistol License to the instructor.
