Cooking With the Masters: Grades 7, 8 & 9

Course Description

Join Chef Decker and Chef Gabriel for a fun-filled week of cooking awesome foods and baking sweet treats. For two-and-a-half days Chef Decker will hone your pastry and baking skills. The other two-and-a-half days Chef Gabriel will add to your cooking repertoire of savory dishes. Every day will be a new and exciting experience, filled with information on nutrition, preparation techniques and of course hanging out with the masters! No experience necessary. A chef coat and a meat or vegetarian lunch option will be provided. If you have special food requirements please pack a bag lunch. Bring a tool kit with the following: a paring and chef knife; peeler, heat proof spatula; dough cutter; pastry brush; measuring spoons; 12" rolling pin or French pin; 14" or 16" pastry bag; 8" or 10" icing spatula (palette knife); melon baller; large plain piping tips like a #7 or #8; plastic scraper. Wear long pants and comfortable, closed-toe shoes; long hair should be tied back.
