ESL 4 - Conversation


Course Description

Learn to understand conversations more thoroughly and make yourself understood. Work on your listening, speaking, grammar and vocabulary skills with other non-native English speakers in this oral comprehension class. Topics, discussions and activities are continuously updated to reflect students' interests and current events, so the class remains fresh and interesting each semester. Prerequisite: successful completion of CES 7261 ESL 3 with a grade of 2.0, or eligibility to take ESL 4 or 5, or completion of ESL Placement Test with a score of 91 or higher. The Testing Center in the McDowell Building requires no appointment, but you must bring your student ID number, a photo ID (e.g. driver's license, passport) and your current address (including zip code). Allow at least 2.5 hours for the test. Testing Center hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-7:30pm, Fri 8am-4:30pm, Sat 10am-2pm; call 734-462-4806 for more information.**
