Here are five suggestions to make your family’s KOC experience as FUN and EASY as possible:
1. Important for 2016 KOC sessions: Safely navigate to/around campus
As you may already know, there are several major road construction projects that can impact your drive. Please make sure to visit http://www.michigan.gov/mdot/ for up-to-date information. NOTE: Pick-up time for most camps is 3:00pm. If you arrive late (after 3:15pm), and your child is not at their designated pick up location, you can find them in the Before and After Care room (in LA440). Late pick-up fees will apply.
On campus, there is construction in our parking lots (primarily our North Parking Lot), so you may need to arrive a few minutes early to reach your intended destination(s). The map below shows the areas of construction (see the construction barrel icons) as well as the various entrances off of Haggerty Road (see the car icons). The red-dotted line represents the alternate route you will need to take to get from one side of the North Parking Lot to the other. Directional signs will be posted to help guide you. We apologize for any inconvenience this may pose and appreciate your patience.
2. Print your child’s SCHEDULE from WebAdvisor
For the most up-to-date class/camp information, visit www.schoolcraft.edu/webadvisor. Once you Log In to your child’s account, go to Continuing Education (Non-Credit) and then click on My Class Schedule under the Academic Profile menu. If you need help with Log In, please call the CEPD Office at (734) 462-4448 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. NOTE: We strongly encourage you to give the printed schedule to your child, so that they can carry it with them at all times while on campus.
3. Review these important information resources
•Safety & Program Guidelines
•Drop-Off and Pick-Up Locations (for children not registered for Before/After Care)
•Frequently Asked Questions
4. Remember BEFORE & AFTER CARE sign in and out procedures
If registered for Before/After Care (CES 3677), you must sign your child in/out each day (in Liberal Arts Room 440). If you are still trying to register your child for Before/After Care but the sections are full, you might see a few openings 2-3 days before camps begin (historically, that’s when drops have occurred) - keep checking WebAdvisor and register online immediately if that is the case. NOTE: We are unable to overload any of the Before/After Care sections.
5. Read the HANDOUTS
On the first day of camp your child will bring home information about the week’s activities, in addition to the end-of-the-week showcase for parents to see what their child has been working on.
