The start of the winter semester at Schoolcraft College also means the opening of the award winning American Harvest restaurant and its companion Main Street Cafe, offering gourmet cuisine prepared by students in the Culinary Arts program under the direction of three Certified Master Chefs and three Certified Executive Chefs. The food at the American Harvest restaurant includes creative entrees, artisan breads, house-made charcuterie and French pastries, all artfully prepared by culinary arts students using classical techniques.
In addition, the adjoining Main Street Cafe offers gourmet “take out” cuisine prepared by second-year culinary students with a menu that changes weekly and includes such favorites as homemade soups, bread, pastries, salads, pastas, family-size entrees and cookies.
The American Harvest offers a breakfast buffet Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; lunch Tuesday through Friday with seating beginning at noon; and a dinner buffet Thursday and Friday with seating beginning at 5:30 p.m. For reservations, call 734-462-4488 or visit www.opentable.com.
