2008 Public Safety Career Expo March 11
On Tuesday, March 11, 2008 students and the public can explore the possibility of a career in public safety and examine first-hand law enforcement, fire, rescue and investigative vehicles and equipment at the annual Public Safety Career Expo at the Radcliff Center in Garden City.
Six performances of "Marat/Sade"
After 14 years and numerous requests for a return engagement, the Schoolcraft College Theatre Program will once again perform Peter Weiss’ unforgettable drama Marat/Sade for six performances in the coming weeks.
VisTa Gala is April 5
The Art of Fine Dining will be experienced at this year’s VisTa Gala on Saturday, April 5. Patrons of this annual event will have the unique opportunity for an intimate look inside the college’s six state-of-the-art culinary kitchens, mingle with world-class culinary chefs and enjoy the best cuisine the area has to offer. Tickets are $150 per person, $90 of which is tax-deductible.People In Focus
Courage and confidence to continue
One of the best things Swati Rajpurohit says she received from Schoolcraft College was the “courage and confidence to continue my education.” She worked as a student aid in the Schoolcraft library and attended the college after moving to the U.S. from India in 2000. A pre-school daughter and other responsibilities limited her to taking a few classes at a time.Program In Focus
Massage Therapy students offer massages
On most Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays students in the Massage Therapy Program at Schoolcraft College will be offering 15 and 30 minute chair massages and 30 or 60 minute table massages at the Radcliff Center in Garden City. Author Pierette Domenica Simpson recounts her story of survival in Alive on the Andrea Doria!, often regarded as the greatest sea rescue in history. She will be on campus to share her story on Tuesday, March 25 at 1:30 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center.In Focus by month
