Get everything you need for Commencement 2012 at Grad Fairs April 9 & 12
Students who plan to participate in the 2012 Commencement Ceremony at Compuware Arena should attend the upcoming Grad Fairs on Monday, April 9 at the main campus in Livonia and Thursday, April 12 at the Radcliff Center.
Community is invited to participate in activities celebrating Earth Day on April 10
Students, staff, faculty and the community are invited to participate in Schoolcraft College's annual celebration of Earth Day. "Biodiversity--The Variety of Living Things on Our Planet" is the theme for this year's actvities to be held on Tuesday, April 10 from noon - 4 p.m. on the college's main campus in Livonia.
Soprano, Martha Guth, and pianist, Jean Schneider, perform free concert April 18
On Wednesday, April 18, Schoolcraft College will host a free concert by Martha Guth, soprano, and Jean Schneider, piano. The concert will be held at noon in the VisTaTech Center on the college's main campus in Livonia. This is the final performance in the 2011-12 Noon Concert Series.
High school students are invited to Career Open House on April 18
On Wednesday, April 18 Schoolcraft College is hosting a Career Open House for high school students. From 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. guests can visit with professionals in dozens of career fields and learn how high school and college classes relate to to real jobs.
Annual Collage Concert, April 28, showcases four music ensembles
The 21st annual Schoolcraft College Collage Concert, Collage XXI, will be held Saturday, April 28 at 8 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center on the college's main campus in Livonia. Tickets are $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for students with identification, and $3.00 for children and seniors.
Schoolcraft College music ensembles present free concerts in April
Schoolcraft College's Choral Union, Jazz Improvisation Combo, Jazz Ensemble, and Synthesizer Ensemble will all be hosting concerts in April. The performances are free and open to the public. Donations are accepted at the door and are used to help fund concerts like these and other programs provided by the college's Music Department.

Local gardening expert to speak at Transition Center Luncheon on April 13
Virginia Froehlich, local gardening expert, will present, " Plants that will Make You Itch and Make You Twitch...and Maybe Even Kill You!" at the Transition Center Luncheon on Friday, April 13. Reservations, $20 per person, must be made by April 6.
Renowned author, Marty Essen, presents "Around the World in 90 Minutes" show on April 10
On Tuesday, April 10, 2012, award-winning author Marty Essen presents his high-energy multi-media show, Around the World in 90 Minutes, at Schoolcraft College as part of the college's annual Earth Day celebrations. Essen's show is free and open to the public and will begin at 1 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center on the college's main campus in Livonia.
Perennial favorite, pianist Lori Sims, performs April 20
In the final installment of the 2011-12 Friday Evening Concert Series pianist Lori Sims will perform The Goldberg Variations and BWV 988 by Johann Sebastian Bach on Friday, April 20. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the Presentation Room of the VisTaTech Center on Schoolcraft College's main campus in Livonia. Tickets are $20 per person, $10 for students with identification.

K-12 Summer Seminar for teachers and administrators will feature Dr. Anthony Muhammad
Each year Schoolcraft College’s Continuing Education and Professional Development department offers teachers, counselors and educational administrators the opportunity to engage a stimulating educational topic and earn valuable SB-CEUs in the annual K-12 Summer Seminars.The 2012 seminar on Monday, June 18 will feature renowned educational consultant, researcher and author, Dr. Anthony Muhammad.
Dr. Conway A. Jeffress and several students win awards at International PTK Conference
Schoolcraft College returned home from the 2012 International Phi Theta Kappa Conference with several prestigious awards. Dr. Conway A. Jeffress was presented the Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction. Michael J. Wisniewski, Jr. was named as one of the Top Ten Regional Officers. Elaine Langlois, was named one of only 30 Distinguished Members of PTK

The Massage Therapy Open House is a great opportunity for those who are interested in a career in massage therapy to come and learn the requirements for earning a certificate or associate degree, as well as hear about career opportunities in this rapidly growing healthcare field.

Get ready for college with a skill-building foundation course this spring or summer
Summer is a good time to brush up on academic skills in advance of the fall semester. Take a skill-building foundation course in biology, chemistry, collegiate skills, English grammar, writing, communication, mathematics or physics. Students can register now for summer classes, which start July 7.

On Tuesday, April 24, Schoolcraft College will be host a free Information Session for individuals who are interested in a career as a Pharmacy Technician. Attendees will meet with the instructor to review class offerings, course curriculum and certification requirements, and learn more about pharmacy technician career opportunities. The session will be held from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center in Livonia.
