Free concert to feature Schoolcraft's Wind Ensemble and Tyndale Artists' Ensemble on Dec. 6

The Schoolcraft College Wind Ensemble will present their annual Winter Concert on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 7:30pm. The Concert, under the direction of Paul M. Michalsen, will be held in the Community Room of the Radcliff Campus located at 1751 Radcliff Street, Garden City, Michigan. The Wind Ensemble is comprised of 48 student and community members from Detroit, Canton, Farmington, Livonia, Northville, Redford, South Lyon, Waterford and Westland. Admission is free and donations will be accepted.

Featured guests will be the Tyndale Artist’ Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Jerry Smith. Composed of 22 selected voices, the Artists’ Ensemble was organized eight years ago to represent William Tyndale College throughout the Detroit metropolitan region. Their membership is composed of alumni, faculty and friends of the former Tyndale College who have excelled in their musical careers. William Tyndale College closed its doors in January 2005, but the ensemble has continued to perform. Its repertoire represents a large variety of sacred, classical and holiday music from the earliest madrigals to contemporary choral compositions. They will also be performing a variety of holiday and seasonal musical selections.
