Mind Trekkers brings the 'WOW' of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to students through hands-on, engaging activities.

The Southeast Michigan Science & Engineering Festival, Mind Trekkers, a program created by Michigan Technological University (MTU), will be hosted by Schoolcraft College on Saturday, October 27, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Parking is available in the South Parking lot - enter at Haggerty Road.

The public is invited to this free event!

Students and parents can experience the wonders of science and technology first-hand. With many of the careers in the future focusing around science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), middle school is the perfect time for students to explore these disciplines first-hand.

The Mind-Trekkers event features volunteers from Schoolcraft College and MTU offering more than 80 experiments and demonstrations exploring STEM.  In past years, experiments and demonstrations included 3D cameras, the ballistics car that is propelled by only a ball, fluorescent rocks, how hovercraft work, how many nails can be balanced on a single nail head, vortex cannons and wind energy, just to name a few. And the benefits of this event for students and their parents can be monumental.
