Anita Süess Kaushik is a full-time faculty member in the World Languages Department. She was born in Switzerland and earned her Bachelor’s degree in translation and interpretation in St. Gallen, Switzerland, a Master’s degree (langue et civilisation françaises) at the Sorbonne in Paris, and finally a Master’s and Ph.D. degree in French Literature at the University of Cincinnati. She is passionate about languages (speaking German, French, English, Italian, and Spanish fluently), cultural studies and international issues. She has been organizing educational, international trips to Europe (as well as China and Peru) yearly since 2006 to facilitate the linguistic and cultural explorations for Schoolcraft students. She also participates in various language conversation groups in the area.
In her spare time, she is an avid reader, fitness enthusiast, as well as a pastry and bread baker.
