I am passionate about supporting college students as they explore careers working with families and children. After working for public school districts for many years, I transitioned to higher education to help prepare the next generation of early childhood professionals. My experiences as a preschool general/special education teacher, kindergarten teacher, first grade teacher, speech-language pathologist, Reading Recovery teacher, and early interventionist provided unique opportunities for me to learn about young children and their families both in classroom settings and in community settings. In my free time, I like to work in my garden, play with my dogs, ride bikes with my husband Jim and create art quilts.
